The Buckets by Greg Cravens for August 14, 2016

Good morning! G'morn. Are you all right? Let's see... My leg that stiffens overnight loosened up before the bathroom. My sore ankle usually stops hurting by the stairs, but I went to the grocery yesterday so it'll take longer. My backs not too bad, but my knee might be tenses little wobbly. So if my hip stays good this morning, I'll get to walk around the block with Larry later. Did all that make sense? Nouns correct and verb tenses all agree? Yep. Then, yes, I'm alright. How're you?

Taking stock. That’s how it goes at a certain age. When people ask me, I usually check my pulse. If I have one, I’m good.

This is so me. The discussion before bed last night was about wearing a knee brace for a couple days as its been a little sore lately.

The older you get, the longer the checklist.

Greg, you crack me up! I don’t know if you’re old enough to experience this or are just an acute observer but you are spot on. My husband, who is considerably younger than I am and a morning person to boot, cheerily asks me every morning how I am. At least, I ASSUME that’s what he’s saying because I can’t even HEAR when I first wake up. Then follows the inventory you gave us. And I can’t tell you how I LOVE the second-to-last panel — making sure that your grammar is in place along with your parts. Priceless; thank you!!

How old is Frank exactly? I’m guessing somewhere between 70-75.

Getting old stinks, huh?
Though, it beats the heck out of the alternative.

After 60, it’s just patch, patch, patch…

Some of us had to start patching before we got to 60.
