Frank (the owner): “Excuse me, sir. I’m going to have to ask you to leave. We’re trying to run a business here, thank you.”“No (HIC!), no you unnerstand! (HIC!) Wife house out me threw (HIC!) Lie place down (HIC!) sober till up I (HIC!) Alone me leave (HIC!) Rest me try (HIC!)…”(Frank and Perkins both look eye to eye for a minute, and then they unbutton and push up their shirt sleeves…)SWOOSH! BONK!(Frank and Perkins dusting off their hands as they go back in!) Capp just sleeps on the sidewalk, right where he happened to land!

What a relief ! Those pesky half-remembered songs from long ago. I’ve just had the delight of listening to ‘Dominique Sister Sourire’ & ‘Puff the Magic Dragon’ on YouTube.

The problem now is that we sang that song in some amateur dramatics. I can’t for the life of me remember what play we were doing.

Now what about ‘Tilley, Tilley’ + something about the moon and the kitchen door? Any ideas?

@bev Took me a moment to spot the adorable kitten with the dog that’s thinking “it’s okay, the dog still thinks I’m fur.” Amazing how their colors blend. Thanks bev for all your pictures.

Notice how the furniture place has a real painting and not just that blue blob that the Capps have?

@LinguistBrilliant ! It’s Katy not Tilley. Many thanksAs for ‘Te lucis ante terminum’, I know what it is. I have the Gregorian chant script/music and, in fact, I sing it quite often. I was just wondering how many, if any, would recognise it.All the very best to all of you, especially Beviek

@pcolliI’ve heard that it’s supposed to be a mirror, but to me that would seem to be an odd place to put one. With the couch in the way you couldn’t get as close to it as you would normally be to comb your hair or whatever, and if you were visiting somebody and wanted to check yourself out real quick, it seems like a mirror in the entrance hall would come in handy. I can’t think of a logical reason to have one over the couch, though. (Then again, I’ve just come in from a half-hour’s walk in our 110 degree heat index weather, so I’m kind of seeing blue blobs everywhere I look at the moment!)

Please tell me what this has to do with Andy Capp.
