This can’t be the last we see of Torti….that’s just not right.

Ummm, yeah, you don’t just say goodbye to friends cause ya move. I trust Steve will make it allright. Since Vernon doesn’t have a home, there is no reason he can’t hang around LD’s yard.

LD lives on a farm with plenty of room. This can’t be the end of Torti. We want a happy ending for everyone Steve. Bring Torti and the new lost dog in from the cold.

Aw, I was hoping Tortie would at least stick around in the general area so he and LDL could still meet up and hang out from time to time.

Beautifully done Steve. The ‘butterfly’ touch is perfect, very effective.Tortoises don’t live on farms and besides, he’s not house broken. He’ll likely be happy in the wild with his squirrel friends and of course, his porcupine girlfriend.Maybe they’ll get married and have … um … well, maybe not.

Vernon (AKA ‘Torti’) can handle himself so I am not worried about him…………. what bothers me is that other ‘little dog’ from yesterday!

One of the butterflies wandered over to “RAISING DUNCAN”.

He should invite tortoise to come with him, that could work. This is so sad. I love this strip and hope it will pick up from the beginning again.

I’m starting to wonder if Vernon and the new “Little Dog” will walk off into the sunset to end the strip. Got the Kleenex ready! :O(
