Golf doesn’t really meet the Olympic Standards of Higher, Faster, Stronger. Drive for show, putt for dough.
And curling does? Don’t take that motto too seriously.
Thought the Zika virus had something to do with it…
I seriously propose, in light of the IOC cave-in to the Russian dopers that every clean athlete boycott the Brazil fiasco !
The IOC has proven, once again, that they care more about money and prestige than they do sports.
They don’t give a damn about the athletes who are honest competitors. They politically reward the cheats !
I, for one, will not waste my time viewing this farce !
@LinguistBut in these treacherous modern times wouldn’t farce bring us some needed laughter?
The MLB game played at Ft Bragg was played on a field built on an abandoned golf course.
The prestige of playing in an event for "amateurs? The Olympics have become a parody of what the games once were.
