Gil if you weren’t so busy showing off your back end in those tight jeans, you’d have talked to (coached) Barry about his propensity for putting individual goals over team performance all season and maybe the team would have accepted him. Truthfully.

Barry was worthy of shunning even before his father almost killed Boo. Has he ever apologized to big Ken Brown for calling his mother a “stupid ugly cow judge”? How would Gil like it if he called Mimi a “stupid ugly cow coach”?

Once in the park my dog caught a squirrel and started shaking it. I yelled at him to drop it, but by the time he did, the squirrel did not look so good. As I stood there thinking I should find a big rock to put it out of its misery (but knowing I couldn’t do it), another dog came along and picked it up and ran off with it. Crisis averted.

This is my own personal “death of Boo” story. The second dog was driving a white pickup truck. Metaphorically speaking.

Now hold on coach. Shouldn’t you be talking to Big Ken Brown about this? He’s been “going at it” with Young Master Bader since the Dustin Pedroia argument. I really don’t have time to coach the team for you, seeing as how I was supposed to be practicing with Wake Forest already. You appear to me to be talking out your arse. Tru(e)ly.

Is that a meteor about to crash into Tru(E)’s head in P1?

And now in P3, It looks like the ants from Mary Worth have infested the Bader’s couch.

Mrs. Bader, anticipating a call from Del instead is surprised and delighted to find the Nigerian Prince on the line, offering a solution to their financial plight now that Del is facing 3-5 minimum.

True must be wondering, why am I stuck in this space time continuum? I give him a state football championship, he tells me to sit out of basketball season. I give him my rocket arm for this dysfunctional baseball team in a tragic season that wanes on. How I long to pop my Michael Murphy “Carolina in the Pines” tape in my new AM/FM Cassette player cruising to Winston-Salem after a stopover in Honolulu.

That is some wacky coaching manual Gil uses. I can’t imagine it says that when a player’s girlfriend is killed in a car crash, jump all over the grieving player for not being a leader on the team.

P2: I realize that you don’t know the names of your players, Gil, but you were right the first time. It’s “True”, not “Truly”.

P3- Is that an aging Mrs. Lark, mother of former Milford CC youth star Kenny Lark, accepting a call from her often absent husband?Sorry, just desperate for a glimpse of the Club, it’s been two years since we have seen Gil working his magic with the youth program, Maybe the restraining order is still in effect?

I don’t buy True’s argument. He’s probably the top athlete in the school, quarterback of a state champion football team and heading off to play Division I. No way will the other baseball players not follow his lead, no matter how lousy a baseball player he is. And as for that, he’s got pro scouts drooling over his fastball. Some spare part.

Seriously. When did this story line start? Would this all be tied back to that day two years ago when this mystery pair showed up and watched the 7 on 7 drill or is this a ‘series’ of story lines involving Tru(E)?

So just because True sticks up for Barry, the whole school will go along? what is True holding over everyone’s head?

Seriously? I could understand Gil’s position if the boy had shown any humility, remorse, or apology for what happened. His father – drunk father – was the inciting incident in a young girl’s death, And he wasn’t even decent enough to go to her funeral. And on top of all that, he’s still behaving like a first class jackhole. And Gil’s asking the boy who loved Boo most to take up for this idiot? No. The person he needs to speak to is this Bader kid and tell him to grab a huge bite of reality. Or is Gil’s winning season more important?

OK, Coach. I’ll stand up for Barry. I’ll stand on his chest, BKB will stand on his head. It shouldn’t take long to turn the 2nd baseman into a “Short” stop on the way to the locker room. Oh, and I’ll tell Joe Kinda it was all your idea. You know: a couple of bloop hits and a couple of broken ribbies. I’m sure the whole team will want to go around the horn.

Coach? Did I tell you we studied Mark Twain in AP English? Here’s a quote: “To tell the truth, I admire him. When his time comes, I plan to buy a piece of the rope for a keep sake.”

Wow, Ma Bader is all giddy, curled up on the sofa ready to chat and giggle with her hubby who’s locked up in the hoosegow, and probably not coming home for years. For some reason that isn’t wrecking her mood in the least. And speaking of moods, maybe today’s Mopped Up Thorp can explain her mood. Yep, I think it can. (Also, Monday’s MUT is there too.)
