Thank You, Gary Brookins and Susie MacNelly. This is beyond price. Apparently though, there is a genetic component to vegetarianism. In parts of the world where people have subsisted on vegan diets for many generations they have slowly bred humans who can thrive on it.
They are a little spacy. It’s the “holier than thou” look on their faces that really identifies them. If I were creating the world, I would have made all animals vegetarians. But since it ain’t that way, just live with it. Ah, that carrot might be somebodies mother!!

In either case (vegan or vegetarian), the word is derived from an old Indian (OK, you PC types: Native American) word meaning “bad hunter.”
