Lew, my son’s dog Jappy, was a bit of an odd sort. When he’d get out, he’d run like the dickens (his name tag said “My name is Jappy, I’m a fast runner.”) and he was very hard to catch if you chased him. However, if you walked outside with his leash, he’d come running over and walk back in the house with you without the leash being put on him. Poor Jappy’s heart was broken when Mike Jr was murdered, he passed away a year almost to the day after Mike was killed. He wasn’t the same during that year either.
