I have a friend who is an older woman. One winter day she slipped on ice and was amazed that she didn’t get hurt. I wrote this for her:
Pillow the Cushioned Angel
When walking on an icy pathYou slip and slide and fallBut other than a bump or bruiseYou don’t get hurt at all
There are some special angelsAll soft and plump and strongThey try to keep you safe and wellWhen your steps do go wrong
The leader of this angel bandWho leads them on their wayIs sweet and full of loving careAs she works day by day
They call this angel PillowAnd go where e’er she sendsShe looks for that one wrong-way stepAnd that they try to mend
So when you fall and there’s no hurtYou know it’s not a dreamIt’s Pillow the Cushioned AngelAnd her angelic team
