I hit a speed bump a couple months ago, I had a brain fart and my right leg didn’t get the message to take a step, but the rest of my body did and I ended up slamming my left knee into the floor and my mouth into the edge of the counter (fortunately I didn’t have my teeth in at the time). I couldn’t get up and had to call a friend to help me get up (fortunately I had my cell phone with me) when he came over he was able to help me get up and I managed to walk around, but when I went to get out of bed the next morning my left leg said, “No you don’t!!!!!!” and I ended up sitting back on the edge of my bed. In the end I had to call an ambulence and ended up in the hospital. After an x-ray and cat scan everyone thought it was just a bad bruise or sprain and had me walking around my hospital room, but just in case the doctor insisted that I get an MRI and the resluts showed that I had a hairline fracture, all of a sudden they didn’t want me putting any weight on my leg, they put it in a brace and I spent the next 6 weeks in a nursing home while I recovered. First broken bone in my life, and I think one is enough so I’m hopeing I never have another one.

Hold on….though I’m 63, I’m versed in this foreign language. “Rolling on the floor laughing” and I can’t get up!"

I never understood how people like Dean Martin could think that “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up” could be so hilarious!
