There’s the KABOOM — er — the BLAM! that you guys were missing yesterday. It seems that Tracy did get a shot off in Frame 1, even if he hadn’t before.

Abner deprived Tracy of his gun, however, lin Frame 2.

In Frame 3, it looks like Abner suddenly got a blow to the stomach, maybe with a knife?

Looks like this might be the end …

… so let’s skip to the final episode of SHERLOCK HOUND, just in case.

Now that I look carefully, the knife is no longer in Abner’s right hand in the last frame. Do you suppose Tracy took it and stabbed him?

Things are racing to a conclusion…..

I think Tracy’s either giving Abner a wedgie or he’s making sure he sings Soprano for the Halloween choir!

As I prepared to return to bed, I heard Gweedo echo these words,…a five dollar coupon off on the airfare home. (Other companies cover full travel expense of employees when on company business)-———————————————————————.Airfare, Gweedo? We’re returning by sea. Don’t you see the sailboat waiting in the bay beneath the falls?.♫♫ Red sails in the sunset… ♫♫

The Farm Boy should be on center stage by now.

Tracy will be arrested for possession of a concealed weapon and will spend time in a Swiss prison while Abner is in the hospital recuperating from his injuries.

Abner is over confident – Dick just want to enjoy his vacation.

I do think that this might actually qualify as an actual CLIFF HANGER, location wise at least. I don’t see how Tracy could have possibly missed with his shot at that close range. The “OH” may be the result of the gunshot finally taking effect, Tracy redirecting the knife into Mr. K, or a solid punch to the ribs, or all 3.

Obviously, Abner, you never got around to reading The Adventure of the Empty House…

Can’t wait to see what happens next…

Next week, Rikki starts a #GothLivesMatter movement to protest Tracy killing an “unarmed” assailant. Mayor Armstrong is a huge supporter of the movement.

Just to pick nits (so to speak) back on August 14, Tracy is clearly drawn holding his trademark snub nose revolver. How come the gun being knocked out of his hand today appears to be a full sized automatic?

I just “sang,” does that count, even though I’m neither fat, nor a lady? ;o)

It might count. Keep singing and we’ll see what happens. Maybe we can hit a climax over the next couple of days.

Bill, you might want to snag those airline vouchers for yourself because Gweedo is going to use the Vampire Mechanique to get back to the States. ;) And Farm Boy over there is starting to warm up for his yodel. It isn’t the Fat Lady signing, but when you’re in the Swiss Alps, a yodeler is the best bet if you can’t find the Van Trapp family.

Well, quite a turn of events. Will we see Abner taking a swan dive over the edge? Wait and see!

What did we learn in DT class today, kiddies?Panel 2: Tracy loses his gun.Panel 3: apparently Abner has lost his poignard (or Fairbairn-Sykes).Sound and sound effects: panel 1, another smoke pellet goes poof, Tracy reels (augh!) and fires (blam!): panel 3, Kadaver is struck or stuck (oh!).Outcome: still undecided, though Tracy has the initiative. He wants to take Abner alive, however, and that cramps his style, limits his options (we can’t forget Tess, to whose rescue I believe Abner is key)….And the Broadcast Team labors on!

A cridible suggestion from Gweedo to AV09: You are sure to pull in funds from people who didn’t know they had any! -—————————————————————————————————————— It works so well that just the very mention of his name got me to kick in. Where do I send the blank check?

I think you meant a poniard.

The English Wikipedia article for poniard got merged into the poignard article in 2008 and it’s been that way ever since. I suspect that it should have been merged the other way around, but I’m not expert on the item. In fact, today was the first time I’d heard of it.
