My wife has been working at a nursing home for 15 years and has seen two of the dementia residents marry each other. She says there was not a dry eye anywhere.
This one made me tear up. I have met and still meet, lots of guys that make me go KA-Powie! But, it doesn’t really work until they get that same feeling for you.
When I first met my wife, three years ago, there was that KA-Powie when I looked into her eyes…That had never happened to me before. That feeling is still there between us !

Just remember, many a good tune’s been played on a old fiddle ! ( It just depends on how you rosin the bow.)
Lynn’s notes:I have several friends, now, who are living in assisted care facilities. They each have small, comfortable apartments; they make their own breakfasts, but lunch and dinner is provided in a spacious, nicely decorated dining room. All three ladies admit that there is a very active social life going on around them, and it’s not all provided by the entertainment committee.
My 89-year-old Mom (who skied until she was 80) moved into an assisted living place four years ago. Took her a while to adjust, but anyone who attended grade school during the Depression and high school during WWII long ago learned how to make do. She does like where she lives, which is all that matters.
@hippogriff. According to the cia,90per cent of Canadians live within 100 miles of the U.S. border,National Geographic says more like 75 per cent. The fact is much of the North is uninhabitable due to terrain,or harsh cold,or limited access. At any rate 8 of Canada’s 10 largest cities are within that narrow band so if comicsssfan is looking for an easy touch North of the border,he should concentrate on that area.
