Facebook has its place. It’s been a place that re-connects people and where I’ve found a few valuable friendships. I even credit Facebook for connecting me with a stranger (she was a friend of a friend) who became my friend. She then introduced me to a career that I never knew existed. 4 years later, I’m thriving in the career and couldn’t be happier!!
But, as with everything…moderation is the secret. I usually do most of my “Facebooking” on the weekend, giving me the week as a break from all that noise so that I can focus on the important things in life (work and family). It works for me and I bet would work for more people if they only tried.
Tried it for an hour years ago. What a waste of time! I want to know how you can permanently delete your account. I found out that the account is deactivated, but it still stores a password & log-on info. No company should be legally allowed to retain it. Delete means delete.

I haven’t been to the beach since 1978 when I was 32 and thin. Now I’m old and ugly (70) and everything sags.

My mom (100) loved Facebook. Never used it but made a killing on the stock after the IPO dip.

Facebook brought my wife and me together, after not having seen each other for years.
