They put nerve blocks on both legs so she didn’t walk yesterday, but should be doing that today. She said if she felt like it, she might check in here later today.She was up and ate good. Good morning. Great pics as usual, Bev, especially the kitten sliding down the side of the staircase.

Yesterday was Tabby’s annual visit to the vet’s for his vaccinations. I got his cat carrier out of the basement and cleaned it and put it on the floor. Tabby went up to it and sniffed it and walked away. Later, when it was time to load him into it, he bolted for the basement but I cut him off so he ran under my bed. We had to drag him out by the scruff and stuff him into the carrier. Once inside, he was calm. At the vet’s he wanted to stay on the scales (he weighed 12.4 pounds) but the vet carried him over to the table for his shot. This year, no growling. When the carrier door was opened, he went in without any prompting. He weighed 13.0 last year and is a part Maine Coon so his weight is good.

Some comments from yesterday posted after I left the site. Many kids unfortunately get most of their daily food at school, like it or not, even after 50 years of the war on poverty, In my district they continue feeding the kids during the summer (two months).When I started teaching in 1973 we had a rigid curriculum. Then the federal government stepped in. By my retirement in 2009 we were mostly teaching to the federal standardized tests and curriculum which changed every two to three years.

Now it seems it mostly about making sure the kids feelings are not being damaged. It’s all about self-esteem, not knowledge.

But who will they have on the show? Almost all the original cast has past away now. I hope it’s on PBS as BBCC is pathetic.-—————————————————@poppet bear I googled AYBS and saw a picture of the new cast…they look remarkably like the originals. No names were familiar to me either….but they are all very well known and popular across the pond!!!! So that is A VERY GOOD THING!!!

My Tyler gave me a ‘love bite’ 2 days ago on left index finger and next morning it was tender and swollen. That never happened before…he is usually very gentle and careful when ‘nipping’. I should have made a similar sign for him! Thanks for posting.
