since she is cold anyway, Janis might as well join Arlo for some ice cream.

Varnes: Women always feel cold, while men feel hot. It’s a physiological need from way back then, before central heating. Warmth protects the unborn child.

My wife and I have it backwards: she is always hot, and I am always cold.

Ha ha when my husband and I were younger he was the one who was always hot and I was always cold. Not any more…40 or so years later he is the one always cold and I’m the hot one.

Marriage: Spending the rest of your nights in a bedroom that is too hot with someone who thinks it is too cold.

Sometimes I wonder if Hubby and I are even the same species. He can warn up an entire room just by being in it, cranks up the a/ to “polar” and sleeps on top of the covers, but doesn’t want me to open the windows in the winter. I hunker down under two or three blankets and open the windows in the dead of winter.Nuts!

One winter several years ago I was in line at the post office and the woman ahead of me had taken off her jacket, was wearing a short sleeve shirt and was fanning herself. Apparently she was going through menopause.

Diane: What I can’t fathom is how one can drink ice cold beer in freezing weather..Norm: Cliff – explanation, please?.Diane: Now how do you know he has one?.Norm: Five bucks says he does, ten says it’s a doozie..Cliff: When the British ruled the Punjab….Norm: Ten bucks all the way!.Cliff …they drank steaming hot pots of tea on the hottest days of the year to balance out their inside and outside temperatures. See, conversely drinking an ice cold drink on a cold day actually results in a more comfortable body temperature..Diane: All right, why do you drink ice cold beer on a *hot day?.Norm: Mr. Clavin?.Cliff: What else you gonna do with it?

Yep, as many others have said, in my house this is the exact opposite—I can’t sleep if I’m too hot. I’m constantly turning the AC down (to at least 72) while he’s bumping it up. You can always put on a sweater or throw on a blanket, when you’re hot you can be naked and you’re still hot. When we travel I have to have the car cold, so I’m in shorts and a tank top and he’s in jeans and long sleeved shirt.

comicsssfanAnd warmer in the winter. Large bodies of water tend to act as a heat sink and change seasonal temperature less than land. They also increase humidity, giving lake effect snow in upstate New York and the dread 90°/90% temperature/relative humidity in Houston.

It is in the high 90’s here in Kansas City, MO, and I cannot even imagine turning the AC off. Is she nuts?
