My brother once commented that “golf” sounds somewhat like an euphemism for vomit. Brings whole new meaning to “hole in one”, “golf pants” and so many other such terms. We were on the floor, in tears, for quite a while during that “discussion”.
When I was really little I thought, bogey meant !$@%#& for golfers.
