How many people use a vehicle for “Sport”, well you do have to pay extra for the vehicle, and the insurance, yep. Of course is for utility, it’s a vehicle! duh.
I’ve seen SUV drivers swerve into oncoming traffic (me) to avoid manhole covers — manhole covers that are recessed one-quarter of an inch! And yet, the TV commercials show their vehicles driving through rocky streams and over fallen tree trunks.
If you are not in the construction business, than there is no reason for an SUV in the city. They are not meant to be family cars. They’re too big and have horrible blind spots. They are hard to park and some are top heavy making it easy to tip over. My small car has nothing but dings and scrapes because of those #@%#! SUV’s!

He’s used it, therefore he utilised it. The sport bit was avoiding the bad drivers.

Why does no one ever object to the oxymoronic nature of the term “sport utility”?

Until recently, you’d need a military grade vehicle to navigate the rough roads in my neighborhood! :-P
