Ouch! Memories of our son playing for a country school soccer team with “just” enough players–no relievers, etc. I mostly remember them forfeiting each game because enough players didn’t show up on our team; however, the opposing coaches (whose teams usually beat our brains out) always graciously acknowledged the heart of our team and their courage in showing up.
