Trebor39, I may be wrong, but I think so. IIRC the female lays eggs alone. IIRC, one of the novels (though it’s been a lot of years) said that if the Queen was lost, a powerful drone (normal alien) would go through some weird, massive hormonal shift and become the new queen. Thus, more implied than said, asexual reproduction.
And in this case? I think we can manage–Brewster will be the new “father” instead. He’s fresh meat, after all.
PS: You guys have no idea about the egg situation and how close Queens are to them….
I would not eat them out in space,
I could not eat them from a vase,
I would not, could not, with Swiss cheese,
I would not, could not, in the breeze;
If any get in my ice cream,
You would not, could not, hear me scream.

Runs with Beer- that ham would be Brewster, he’s right there!
alan.gurka about 14 years ago
Brewster, I’d like to see you try to take those eggs away from her. They’ll be a lot of scrambling going on!

So, um, we think we should discuss the bonus situation…

If anything, I’d be recalling the salmonella due to alien contamination.

Seriously, She’s Ms. Alien? Do they all have the surname Alien? That’s gotta be confusing…
Ermine Notyours about 14 years ago
This sure is a quick turnaround on a current event item, or Rickard got lucky.
Trebor39 about 14 years ago
Is Ms. Alien also an unwed mother?
tsouthworth about 14 years ago
Absent father… tsk, tsk.
Rush L. is likely to take issue with another single mother wanting offspring.

Was John Hurt quoting a pot of petunias?

Those eggs might go bad. Someone could die from them.
