Clyde claims to not care about money and yet he talks about it all the time. Mostly about Barney’s money! He’s been offered a good job by Barney and he refused to accept it!!!

The punchline, I think, lies in that Barney assumed Clyde’s statement as statement of fact and not passing judgment, which is Clyde’s actual intent.
