Transcript:
at last! richard's poor almanac by richard thompson a world war ii memorial that's grandiose and practical! this elegant plan combines the coveted prominence of a mall location with the practicality of an anti-terrorist barrier! simply encircle the washington monument with a ring of wwii-era bunkers & pillboxes outfitted with commemorative plagues, interpretive displays & working armaments. then staff the whole thing with vets! oop: halt! who goes there? person: we're the lindermans from detroit. is there a restroom in there? bob dole says... bob: swell! tom hanks's agent. agent: he's busy doing "turner & hooch 2" and can't come to the phone. j. carter brown... brown: i am so totally, like, why didn't i think of this? and the vets... vet 1: just like dub-dub-two. only there's no bettygrable vet 2: enemy boxkite at 11 o'clock. kilroy
