Unlike truth, fiction generally needs to be understandable and to seem to make sense. Truth doesn’t care whether we believe it or not. (Did the universe start as a tiny point? I don’t know, but much of what we now accept to be true did not seem plausible when it was first proposed.)
There’s a subatomic particle called the bogon. It’s the fundamental substance from which bogus stuff is derived. This year we’re all experiencing severe bogon storms.
“The last of a 700 million year old species floats around nearby below horns the color of robin’s eggs.”.The basselope precedes the evolution of multicellular life? THBBFT!.Or wait, are you talking about the microbes floating around in the air under some random blue horns? Okay, that I buy..Darn it to heck. I just realized, after almost 30 years of readership, that while antelopes indeed have horns, basselopes appear to have antlers. I’m’a go now, before I notice anything else that wrecks my childhood.
People can acknowledge and accept the beliefs of others even if they don’t agree with them. THBBFT!! I’m sure that Abby doesn’t believe that last bit about the universe herself. She’s just perceptive enough to know how to deflate Oliver’s pride in being a logical agnostic by trotting out an example of a theory with insufficient physical evidence supporting it that is nevertheless widely accepted by mainstream science. BTW, Christian writer Lee Strobel in his book The Case for a Creator cites Biblical evidence supporting the Big Bang.
Word of the Day: THBBFT!It is a perfect and succinct expression of the teachings of the famed neo-Platonic post-processual semiotic nativist philosopher, Bill le Chat (French, you know)….
the difference is that when applying the theory that involves the universe starting from a point smaller than the period in a sentence, you (or at least trained scientists) can use that theory to predict things accurately. I am pretty sure that any prediction based on a theory related “farticles”, though probably funnier, won’t be of any applicable use.
Each Garbhodakashayi Vishnu exhales and inhales and with each breath a Brahma is born who lives for 100 Brahma years and dies with the breath of Garbhodakashayi Vishnu. Each Brahma creates a universe which comes to an end with partial annihilation. After several Brahma years the annihilation of the entire universe takes place at the last stage, the dissolution of the whole karan sagar by Shiv with Tandav and this cycle again begins. This cycle of formation and annihilation is seen in Hinduism.
Trump with the nuclear codes – Thh . . . oh, wait . . .Sonofagun – it’s working out pretty well. Hmmm. Oh, right — Breathed is a CARTOONIST, not a savant. The savants were the ones that elected Trump. And the idiot savants . . . engineered the biggest, most epic, colossal, stupendous face plant in election history. No big deal – after all, Obama was our first woman president.

I am sad whenever I see someone still using ‘mankind’ instead of ‘humankind’, ‘humanity’ or any other inclusive word.
