Cats are such awful liars. One hour after eating, they pretend they’re starving to death. And they definitely try to play family members against each other.
Fortunately, we have a system. We use different style bowls for their morning (wet) food and their evening (dry) food. So we can tell at a glance if they’ve yet to be fed or if they’ve finished everything already.
Look up “Feline American Princess.” That song summarizes everything you need to know about cats. Humans are in charge of quarters, rations, and the weather. Cats are in charge of everything else.
