What's this about taking honors classes? Well, I'm in Ms. Dale's homeroom this year... She was telling me that I should be in honors classes. Well, I see some homeroom students here aren't in my honors English classes. Folks, you should all be working at honors level.

I fell in love with a practice teacher in English in my junior year, Miss Tanner from NW Oklahoma State College.

If my teachers looked like that, I know I would have been able to work at a Honors level! Trust me, science has my back =D

My problem with taking honors class, or other harder-than-you-have-to-take classes, is that it’s harder to make a good grade in them. That leads to the valedictorian and salutatorians often coming from easier classes, and no bonus points given to those who took harder classes. My class had a valedictorian who took the easiest courses possible, including home economics, while some of us took physics, chemistry, and advanced math. No bonus points were given for difficulty.

@schrocknik1One of my favorite teachers (my fourth grade one) also had the name Mrs. Tanner. Small world!
@Number Three & Bill S.Honors courses have slightly more advanced material than average. They’re often found in high schools. The next step up is gifted courses, which are even more advanced.
