Tommy has rescued Elvis!

“If he was here, he’d be so angry . . Who’s going to panic now?” Melting down in spirit! It’s brilliant! :D I love how they miss the negative things about Elvis recognising how much they need is critical, hot-tempered reactions and observations to temper their mush. ;-)

Elvis holding his tail (sob), angry looking non-pink houses glaring at him, and Tommy (first meeting face-to-face) to the rescue – all the easter eggs and fabulous artwork – I just love this.

Elvis is SO unhappy and desolate just as Tommy finds him.and, “Who’s going to panic?”Georgia’s stories are just delightful.

Poor, sad Elvis.

Remember that Elvis hates all strange cats – and you have to admit that Tommy is rather strange.

I have read this strip repeatedly since it first came out-and it still brings tears of worry to my eyes. Elvis holding his tail, anxiously pawing his suspenders, food bowl in his tummy empty, no friendly houses, just scary, angry looking ones, the other two kitties comforting each other. This is Georgia Dunn at her finest-moving me emotionally while also lightening the mood with things like who will panic now?" And he is here, melting down in spirit.

Ps-this also makes me want to scream at The Man to get the heck out there and don’t come back until you find a brownish-yellow cat likely to be visible against a white snowfield. This is His Excellency we are talking about here :)

You know, the first time around I never picked up on the angry houses. Yes, every time I re-read these, there’s something new!

I fondly remember this “Odd Couple” pairing of Lupin and Tommy. You just know everything will turn out OK.

I love this story arc. And I see something different each time as well!! I love Elvis looking sad and holding his tail.
