4 gauge, or at least 6 gauge, not those cheapie things with lots of plastic on the outside and 16 gauge wire on the inside. They’ll just burn up and start a fire. And a way to keep the other end separated until you want to hook them to the dead battery so you don’t short out your system. Make sure it’s plus (positive) to plus and minus (negative) to minus. Keep the donor car running so you don’t run down its battery too.
