If you want to protest, do it on your own time.If you’re wearing your employers uniform, you are at work representing that organization, not yourself.

Freedom of expression doesn’t mean much if you are only allowed to say/do popular things. It only means something if you can express unpopular opinions/beliefs without being punished for doing so. And THAT’s what we’ve been fighting for Charlie Brown…

As a Veteran I would gladly die for his, or anyone else’s right to say whatever they want..However what seems to get lost is that your free speech may be offensive to others, and those that are offended are within their rights to respond to your free speech. Free speech does NOT mean that your speech cannot be rebutted.

Only starters can have moral principles. Except they’re wealthy, so they’re not entitled to have morals at all. Only poor people should care about how minorities are treated. Only poor people should gain national attention for such things. That’s why our nation was founded by poor, second-string types like Washington, Jefferson, Monroe and Madison.

The cartoonist needs to take a Civics 101 course as do many commenters here. Love it or leave, our country, if you disagree with our government and basic rights its extends through the U.S. Constitution.

I appreciate Nike for their humanitarian in giving a washed-up, worn out, ineffective quarterback a new cash flow so he can buy groceries, gas, and a weekly perm.

If your idea of love of country is waving a flag at a sports event you’re really shallow. Have a hot dog and enjoy the game.

Politics have permeated everything. I see people all down my street who leave their flags out doors, in the dark and rain on a daily (nightly) basis. They haven’t lost their jobs. I see folks wearing flags patches on the rear of their denim shorts. They haven’t lost their jobs. I routinely place my US flags forever stamps upside down on my envelopes. My mail person has yet to comment. Isaw a huge ado in the balcony at my son’s graduation, where two burly goons tried to force a guy to his feet during the anthem. Turns out he had no legs. Freedom of speech, my friends. It’s what we have fought for.
