February 20 is National Handcuffed Day in the United States- in honor of George A. Carney's revolutionary lightweight adjustable handcuff, which he patented on that date in 1912. Colonel William Washington forced the surrender of more than 100 British loyalists during the American Revolutionary war without firing a shot- he painted a log to look like a cannon!

How long ago was that almost attempted burglary thanks to a rubber fish? My family used to own one of those fish which sang that tune seen in this here panel (as well as “Don’t Worry, Be Happy”).
