My grand daughters school ( junior kindergarten ) has a strict no trading policy. It’s probably so kids don’t trade away the nutritious parts of their lunch, or maybe it’s about allergies.
I like egg salad, and I liked the school hot lunches way back when; especially on Fridays when we got fish sticks and parsley buttered potatoes. A lot of kids hated fish sticks and I would often get their unwanted servings!
It might be why I’m not particularly fond of fish sticks today…
Back during the war, we’d be sent to school with PB&J sandwiches and the other more well-off kids would be eager to ‘trade’ for such, and sis and I would wind up the better with Egg and/or Tuna Fish sammiches. Never could escape Wonder Bread and its ability to be rolled into a ‘starch marble,’ though..How did I ever last this long???

Egg salad?!? It might as well be processed mouse loaf. That stuff is nauseating.

From Star Trek: “Jim, madness has no purpose. Or reason. But it may have a goal.” Calvin’s goal was COOKIES!

Mouse breeding has improved sooo much in recent years. I think they’ve actually found ways to tenderize the whiskers.

When I was in the service, one Thanksgiving they fed us Turkey Loaf. Might as well have been MOUSE!

You should have seen the spider that caught the mouse first.

Processed mouse would be allowed in school today. Peanut butter is banned.

Ha. Well played, Calvin. Made me laugh.
Though, I’m not entirely hungry anymore, myself.
