Another one falls prey to advertising…

Swoosh! I hope that electrical circuit carries enough juice for the launch: a dud in the house would not improve Dad’s attitude!

Dad bought Lio the wrong shirt! Lio should be wearing one that reads Monster Mash…that’s more in keeping with his usual gang of buddies…

Must be a Nike missile!

It was a Nike all right - made in Asia by kids Lio’s age. And way overpriced. Though less than Jordan’s crap…

And he’s got a roll of Mentos.

You’d think Lio would stand aside from the Rocket so he does become toast.

I think Lio is flirting with Eva again.

This reminds me of that old Charles Addams cartoon where the boy is standing at the window next to his now-empty rocket launcher, looking up at the sky with a big grin. In the background, the mom is coming up the stairs with a friend saying: “It’s priceless. Normie’s building a rocket to shoot Pamela to the moon.”

DO IT somewhere else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How often haw I told you, son? No launching rockets in the house. Just Do it outside.

In the fifties the US was dotted with “Nike Missile” sites. There was one in my hometown. Mark is making a pun.

I remember sometime in the 50’s I went on a tour of one of our local Nike missile site with the Cub Scouts. Pretty cool!

Is that Nike: Ajax, Hercules or Zeus?

Perhaps dad should revert to the 80’s moto of “Just Say No.”

It was a toss-up between that shirt and the one that reads, “Have it your way.”

I can just imagine Lio shooting through the sky on that thing, the being incinerated when it explodes. There is very dark humor within me.
