Leading causes of death in the USA source: NIH other Alzheimer's flu diabetes accidents emphysema stroke cancer heart disease and/or stampede of clowns
Actually, the “other” is the third leading cause of death in the USA – medical errors committed by doctors, nurses, pharmacies, hospitals, etc. Medical errors dwarf the number of homicides, suicides and vehicular accidents combined.
Toddlers and preschool children are keen to explore their surroundings but they still lack the reasoning skills and coordination to keep safe around water. Top heavy toddlers can easily lose their footing in shallow water. Children under five most frequently drown in backyard pools and natural bodies of water. Only 10 per cent of children aged 1-4 who drowned in Canada from 2001 to 2010 were participating in aquatic activities at the time of the incident.
