Some of our fur army have no idea what to do with a mouse. Others (the outside ones,) however, insist on leaving tasty half eaten mouse treats for us all over the house.
We had a cat that was the world’s most incompetent mouser. She chased a mouse under the basement door once. Then she ran around to the other side of the stairwell to wait for it.
Our two Poms have caught at least three mice under the snow, making them better cats than most of the cats we’ve had.
No adoption for Calvin or the kitten yesterday. She brought them both back as well as a second kitten.
They’ll all go back to PetCo this morning.
About 20 min after they were back, I heard a loud crash in there. I was pretty sure I knew what it was.
Yep – the new kitten (about 5 months old) had tried to jump up onto the curtain rod and it came crashing down. This wasn’t the first time a cat tried it and it won’t be the last.
Oliver, you need Checkers for Dummies – not that you are a dummy. Beat them meeces! Really cute cat and mouse pictures today – I really enjoyed them. bbear – funny pictures. The one that really got me was the cat on the two trash cans. Yes that shooting at the Burlington mall was horrible. The big question in WHY??
@bbear….you get today’s award for wonderful (if weird) pics.
@queen…Calvin is due to find his forever home. Am praying some ‘lucky’ homin comes into his life soon. There’s a match for him out there. Too bad about the curtain rod…kittens/cats are rambunctious but predictable. I’d adopt an adult cat over a kitten any day in the hope that it has already ‘gotten over’ the nutty stage.
Great pictures and comments the last few days on here, thanks for posting one and all. I’m just trying to catch up as I’ve been a bit busy the last few days.
No home for Calvin again. But the baby/ The MOUTH, got adopted by a young couple. They recently found out they can’t have kids so decided it wasn’t meant to be and agreed they would have furbabies. Susan said they bought a LOT of stuff for her and she did tell them about how loud she is. We are hoping that once she had the run of a whole house, that will appease her.

Oliver, the meeses will play with you because you are a big sweetie, plus bad at checkers.
Comic meeses always have those lovely Tudor doorways, that goes waay back.
