This is not unheard of in the world of dogs and owners.

That piece of turf has Digger’s scent all over it.

And back in the backyard Olympics:

There is that one inherent peril in the hammer throw.

What goes up, must come down. Let’s hope Cleo sticks the landing.

This was to be the beginning tease for the shelved Mel Brooks movie idea Bassets In Space.

The hammer throw, which must be a Thor-related name, is, like the javelin, an event based on strength, technique, and repetition. All things that are basset-like and Cleo-ish. Just classic doggerel.

Hullo, Cleoians….along with Olympics lovers and events-starved sports fans.

Cleo is going for it once again… she’s quite literally giving it her all…

in the Sept 23rd  2020 “CLEO and COMPANY”, on Sherpa…

I was always told that you be a good athlete, you need to throw yourself into it wholeheartedly.

Cleo is throwing herself in not only wholeheartedly…

but whole-arms-and-leggedly, whole stomachly, liverly, and backly…. she even threw in her ears and her tail!

Will it cost her some points if it wasn’t on purpose?

I hope she’s OK… I’d hate to see her break anything.

Yeah, yeah… of course I mean like a leg, or her nose…

but I’d also hate for her to break Claude and Clara’s roof, or the neighbor’s car.

Good luck Cleo… and soft landings!

Good morning, Ballardeers! Q Date: 194.98328.35

Digger keeps his MINE! within reach.

Hammer time at the backyard olympics and Cleo is light enough to take flight. Me? Not so much. Landed on my face. Coach was not impressed. Told me to stick to football.

Y’all hold on to your sanity or crazy whichever is apropos to you. (((((HUGS)))))

    Blessings

I think Cleo was very sweet. She was only thinking of Claude & Clara’s roof.

Love her expression as she takes flight.

My first take on the big sign pointing at the dog, above, was that “HIS” referred to Digger…

You know, as if Mrs. Belthorpe were telling the world that she wanted nothing to do with Mr. Belthorpe’s crazy mutt.

Btw… Speaking of Mr..B… he appears a bit featureless.

I hope Cleo doesn’t land near the evil cat net door. She might be a little too dazed from landing to prevent that evil cat from doing a number two on her head.
