William Alexander was the painting guy before Bob Ross. Used to watch him all the time—-using the Magic White and “powering in” some trees. Ross used many of his techniques.

I remember a TV program titled “Learn to Draw”, don’t remember the host’s name.

My favorite “Far Side” had a Bob Ross theme: Somebody was painting while watching the show—and a tree had just fallen on him and crushed him. And Bob was saying, “Make sure all your trees are happy trees.”

I still love to watch Bob Ross on Create TV. My favorite bit is he spends 20 minutes painting a Cabin in the woods next to a Lake and a Mountain Range in the background then in the next 4 minutes covers everything in Happy Trees so all you can see are the Trees.

Be sure and talk in soothing tones so that everyone watching falls asleep. Z-z-z-z- Happy little napping!
