Andrea: I devoted my life to breaking down barriers, changing laws, rejecting stereotypes and opening a new universe of equal opportunities for women... ...So my daughter could have options I never dreamed of! Cathy: So when your daughter decided to become a stay-at-home mom right out of college??... Andrea: It's the option I never dreamed of. Cathy: Wow. You created a true independent thinker. Andrea: Even success is more complicated for our generation.

Only for those who choose to have children Fer. Ultimately, success should be considered by what you are capable of doing against what you are willing to get off your lazy butt and do.
Cathy may not have children, or the ultimate job or body, but she has people who love her and, in perspective, her problems are generally no worse usually than any of the other characters. Look at how much free time she has to shop… how many women can claim that??
I personally will miss her.

Gee, today she is lucky to have a job. She should be very thankful. I have friends the lost their jobs due to downsizing, closing business, and layoffs. Life goes on and then there is Cathy.

Think maybe Zeniths child was an “unexpected blessing”? Andrea would probably never admit to it!

I think that’s what feminism has morphed into, and I think it’s wonderful. We can have a career, or stay home- and change our mind at any point. Our husbands have the same options. Whatever works, and whtaever makes everybody happy or fulfilled or whatever.
The option to do whatever you’re best at despite age/gender etc is a great gift.

Choice is not something feminism morphed into – it’s what it was all about in the first place. Today’s women have choices we never would have had if it hadn’t been for those nasty feminazis.
