Oh for crying out loud. Where are the lazy locos ochos?

I rarely use measuring cups either. I am pretty good at eyeballing amounts.

Poblanos stuffed with black beans and cheese. Eggs Benedict with orange hollandaise. Shrimp and Grits with fried eggs. Hempler’s bacon or Hempler’s ham and eggs. Blueberry pancakes. Chantrelle mushroom crepes. Pirate coffee. Assorted teas. Dr. Pepper. Bloody Mary’s Screwdrivers Grapefruit, mint and vodka. Fruit. Granola. Yogurt.

Ohhh, eggs benedict with orange hollanaise? Now there’s a man who knows how to cook! I’ll have some of that, kind sir, and some poblanos stuffed with black beans and cheese, and some chantrelle mushroom crepes, and some Pirate Coffee and some . . Just keep my plate full, Cleo, and I’ll be happy! :-D

Your heaping platter has been delivered Dry. We have sunny skies today so I am thrilled. Maybe I will go to the farmer’s market.

Cleo I am headed there soon too. We have one nearby on Tues and Fridays and one in town (5 miles away, LOL) on Thurs and Sats. It is nice here, sunny, breezy, not as warm as yesterday but it is 74 right now.

Hello Carmy. I’ll send breakfast right over. I am not going to stay inside canning on the first nice day in awhile.

Don’t blame you there! Back from Farmer’s Market, now off to spend a couple hundred bucks I can’t afford to spend, but must! SIgh!! WHY OH WHY CAN I NEVER WIN THE LOTTERY??!!

It got into the seventies today. It is supposed to rain for the next 3 days so I mowed and went for a swim. The lake has dropped 3 degrees and was at 65, but for me was still a-okay.

Howdy Cleo! Turned into a busier day than I anticpated! Ever carry a box spring and mattress on top of your vehicle? Brand new, but cost more to be delivered, so my son and I put it on the roof of my Blazer! Thank goodness we weren’t going very far and stayed off the by-pass! That’s what we call our 4 lane around here! By-pass!

I got my lawn mowed. After each mow now you wonder how many more you will be able to do. So did you get a new bed Dry? We did last year and it has made each night so much more comfortable.

No Cleo. My oldest is moving out to my parents home. He needed a new bed out there. He did a lot of work painting and cleaning, things I kept putting off doing, so that was his reward. At least the house will be lived in now and I expect his bro will be out there a bit too. I didn’t want to move out there, but didn’t have the heart to sell it after how hard my folks worked for it and took care of it. Fate sometimes steps in and decides for you, and this time, it was a good choice!

We had a sunny morning that ended in clouds, but over all, a good day.

Dry your son will enjoy living at you parents home. There is a continuity now, with another generation living there.

Hola Shika! Actually, I have a cold and it is wearing me down. I took a 5 hour nap. I plan to rest all day tomorrow too.

Cleo, enjoy it while you can, Nekkid Man. It’s cooling off here too.

Dry, you have reminded me about when my husband and I transported 2 bunk bed mattresses on our Oldsmobile. He tied then wrong, even after I told him how they SHOULD be tied. We ended up on the side of the road having to retie them after we went over an overpass and almost lost the mattresses.

Hola Shika! Yes he will enjoy it! He spent many days out there while we worked and my parents babysat. He spent the night there when his brother was born, and then they both (we all) spent many holidays, Sundays etc. out there. My mom would really have loved what they, mostly him, as his brother was away at school during the week, did out there! It is really nice!

Carmy Luckily, nothing fell off the roof! One man and his wife pulled up beside us at the red light and told us everything was flapping up and down! LOL! I could see it starting to slide off the back, but by that point, we had about 1/4 mile or less to go on a less traveled road!

Dry, I’m so glad that you all are keeping the house. I was so sad when they sold my grandparents house. My grandfather was a carpenter and he built that house. It was unique and well built.

My parents paid that house off in 7 years. As you know, Mom was an RN, and Daddy was a factory worker. Back then, even 7 years was amazing! And I don’t think we ever suffered for it, and my dad never had to work overtime, just frugal spending, and growing a lot of their own food. And mom loved to bake, and she was GREAT at it! Everyone loved her pies, cookies and cakes!

Whatever happened to that work ethic, anyway?

LOL! I’m glad you all made it home without an incident.

Sadly, that work ethic is extremely scarce nowadays.

Did you ever see the movie “Jackie Brown” with Samuel L. Jackson, Robert DeNIro, Robert Forster, Michael Keaton, and Pam Grier as Jackie Brown? Just saw it again today. GOOD movie, and I found another long forgotten song I need to download. I love this song, probably not everyone’s kind of music, but I LOVE it!

Hello Chickies, today was the perfect day, we went to the farmer’s market, we broused around Fairhaven (our artsy part of town), bought some plants, had a nice lunch at our favorite Tapas restaurant and enjoyed the sun. Bliss (even with the lawn mowing, edging and whacking).

Sounds like a good day, Cleo! Best enjoy them whilst we can, eh?

That is exactly right Dry. Today felt like we got another touch of summer after a couple of weeks of fall. It was great.

Cleo, I’m glad you all have a great day. Dry, I saw “Jackie Brown” along time ago, I liked it.

I’m getting ready to watch some “Friends” episodes from Netflix. I’ll be on and off on here.

I never really got into Friends. I guess I never cared for most of the stars.

I started watching Friends when it first began. I actually watched the whole Thursday night NBC lineup with Seinfield, ER, etc. We stopped watching TV in season 5 so I’m just seeing what I missed.

Oh yeah, always watched Seinfeld! And Cheers and Frasier on NBC!

Just going through Randy Crawford CD’s on Amazon. Forgot how good that woman’s voice is! Think I’m going to buy a couple of her CD’s!
