And what cat is a WW I Flying Ace, or a Detective? There isno similar background to bring Snoopy to become friendly with a cat; not even a player on Charlie Brown’s baseball team of the cat family and so, why would Snoopy want to ven consider being around a ‘furry kitten.? Snoppy has enough adventure with the cat next door not to want to cuddle up with a cat, even a ’furry kitten,’ and so, forget it, Lucy!
I don’t think Snoopy minds, Lucy. But you can give that furry kitten to me, I love nothing better than stroking a soft fluffy kitty and hearing it purr.
It’s interesting that with all the kids in “Peanuts”, there were exactly two pets: Snoopy, and Faron (Frieda’s boneless wonder of a cat). World War II, the dreaded “cat next door” to Snoopy, seemed to belong to a family without children.Of course, later there were Spike, Andy, and Olaf, who weren’t pets, merely animals, the same with Woodstock and the other birds in Snoopy’s Beagle Scout troop.

Neither will you, Lucy. Cats have class. They choose who they want to be stroked by.

Our cats regularly curl up next to or on top of Mama Dog and purr their heads off. They purr more for that dog than they do for us.

Snoopy has grabbed Frieda’s cat. That’s close enough for him.

Maybe not, but if you pet a dog right behind his ear at just the right location, he may let off a very content moan. Almost as good.

But Snoopy has a little birdie friend he can cuddle up with…his name is Woodstock! Do YOU have a little birdie friend, Lucy?

Awww, I would love to do that even though I’m not a cat lover.
