My stepson has two dogs living with his family (one they took in as a stray; the other they took in when he took in his sister-in-law as a stray; but I digress). They both get fed at 5pm, seven days a week. And believe me: They know when it’s 5pm, regardless of what day it is, or what, if anything, is playing on the TV. When they start standing over their food bowls and looking accusingly at the nearest human, it’s 5:00 in my stepson’s living room.

Any tip from Rover would likely be rather sloppy.
