Beautifully artistic drawings both yesterday (Sunday) and today! Thank you, Mr. Scancarelli!!!!!

    .

However, we must not forget… our hero, the wise, gentle sage, Joel, is in a most heinous spot at the moment. He has come to realize that his friend, Rufus, may be less of a friend than he thinks. Recall how rude and actually abrupt and mean Rufus was to Joel.

    .

Joel was merely suggesting that the apparent winnings of the errant lottery ticket be used in a shared fashion to benefit them both. I could easily envision a new jug and some pipe tobacco being a nice way to spend some of the fortune. Now, perhaps Rufus does not imbibe you say? And, yes, I admit that Rufus does not indulge in a pipe. But, seriously, Joel has earned and deserves those little modicums of pleasure… for all he has done for Rufus over the years in terms of guidance and wisdom (as you know, that is not Rufus’ strong suit by any means) to live day-to-day. And, from an even broader perspective, think of all that Joel has done through his whole life of helping and assisting others. He is one helluva good man, and the way he has been treated…. it is a true shame.
