Where do folks set off fireworks on Halloween? Never heard of that custom.
Here in South Fla. they set off fireworks on New Year’s Eve (and fourth of July as well, of course)
It’s a BC (Canada) custom. I’ve lived in Ontario and Alberta, and they don’t do it there, but they do here in BC. Adrian Raeside lives in BC.
I always thought fireworks were too expensive to set off, unless paid for by a rich sponsor.

Definitely BC. They don’t celebrate “the Guy”, so it is the nearest excuse.
61 years old and lived my whole life in NC. People been doing that around here for as long as i can recall.
Maizing
Hardly new. I first encountered it in BC in the 1970s. In the 1870s, having no fireworks, they would spread black powder on an anvil, place another anvil (inverted) on that, and set it off with a red hot poker. They still do on July 2, Canada Day.
