Not so good if one does well and not both.

Neat thing about retirement, if you can’t sleep, get up and read or something…..without worrying about what time it is…Who cares?

I worked nights and slept days for most of the time my wife and I have been together, only the last year or so we share the bed at the same time
We’re both restless sleepers, if one of us is sleeping on the couch it’s not because of an argument, it’s out of consideration for the other

I sleep like the dead – literally. Flat on my back with my hands on my chest, and I never move. Hubby makes up for it; he tosses and turns all night. I’ve learned to sleep through it, although he admits to checking from time to time to see if I’m still breathing.

My house is the opposite of panel four. I have “the sleep of the innocence” according to my wife. She never seems to sleep well for long stretches of time.

The last panel is our house about 80% of the time. Once my wife is asleep, almost nothing wakes her, and I wake up every 60-90 minutes even if nothing is happening. (I know it isn’t a good thing, but nothing helps.)

It’s still Sunday isn’t it?….

This strip has been ultra-boring for quite a while now — enough to put anyone to sleep. I keep reading it in the hope that we’ll eventually get a week or so of Gene, Mary Lou and Meg who are far more entertaining.

It is interesting to me that JJ has seemingly moved into a long stretch of single stand-alone panels instead of story arcs which he had been favoring for a while.
.
It is hard to say which I like better, the stand-alone panels or the story arcs. Probably a mix of both is good. I do think it would be nice to hear more about a) A & J and their boat, b) J and her neighbor friend, c) Meg and Gene and MaryLou and the farm.

These two just don’t know what a bed is used for, just too old I suppose. Just sayin’

pro eh? Try Steinbeck,Clancy and Gabaldon before you define comics as fiction…or in your eyes non-fiction….

@comicsssfan I would venture (perhaps) that in the 4th panel that vigorous activity was accomplished on successive nights. However, only Janice received the benefit. Perhaps Arlo’s age worked at cross purposes to any residual beneficial affects.
