Does one snore loudly? I just turn up the fan to create a louder “white noise” & that really works!

GoComics aficionados should have a field day erasing and substituting the balloon in the third panel. Let Scully be the first. Replace “ABOUT SEPARATE BEDROOMS?” with “ABOUT EATING BRAINS?”
Carry on.

I may have to move out of the bedroom, my wife sleeps in the middle of the bed and our new dog sleeps between us. That leaves me with my knees hanging over the edge and I can’t turn over. Gave up at 2 am yesterday and 4 today.

Now this one I understand—as a continuation of yesterday. Arlo wants her but says it in the most ironic way possible.

Separate bathrooms…..YES! What they need is a larger bed. They are really close together——too close.

do you think at some point Arlo will mention Ozzie and Harriett Nelson, or Rob and Laura Petrie ?

Separate bedrooms is not a “Fantasize about” thing, it is a "Thought about " thing.

My wife and I went to separate bedrooms when I needed to start using a CPAP.

@Dani A good, well adjusted CPAP can add years to your life.

We came THIS close to having to do separate bedrooms after 15 yrs together. I am sensitive to noise and movement after having spent 14 yrs as a single mom and DH has restless leg syndrome and a sleep disorder that causes groaning (insert joke). We are in our late 50/early 60s and sleep is hard for both of us.As a last effort we bought twin xl bed frames ( the kind that raise head and foot, $500 for the pair at wallyworld and put the beds next to each other with separate bedding. There is one king size comforter over the top for snuggling time (on top of the other covers, under this one). This arrangement, and a good supply of earplugs for me is working out great. I slept alone for too many years as a single mom. Even if we have covers between us to sleep, when we’re awake we’re together and during the night we can still reach each other.

How about if one’s spouse has “restless leg syndrome” and the other one has to take sleep medicine to keep from being awakened throughout the night?

It has nothing to do with CPAP, but my wife has chronic insomnia. I certainly sleep better when she travels.

I’m a toss & turner, and she copes with it but wish i did’nt..
Offered to sleep in the other bedroom, she said no, because then she’d want me near.
