When I was a teller, I didn’t consider that money. It was just paper I had to account for at the end of the day. It didn’t turn into money until I cashed a check or made a withdrawal from my account. That was even when I was head teller & had to check in large amounts when we got a delivery. Made it a lot easier to work there.

Tellers and cashiers know they don’t call currency “filthy lucre” for nothing, either. At the end of the day, your hands badly need washing.

Heard of a woman working at a bank who found that she was allergic to money (or at least the ink on it).

Considering how much wealth has shifted From the People to the Plutocrats, there are a few more rich, and lots more of us not even doing okay.
