Adam: Clayton, you need to stop scaring us. I know it's funny, but someone could get seriously...
Toy: Booga booga booga.
Adam: Nyaaaa!!
Clayton: Sorry. That was on a timer.
I don’t know why so many UK stores sell Halloween stuff….. I’ve never seen anyone dressed up and no-one has ever knocked on the door begging for stuff their parents should buy them.
I have a neighbor like Adam. You say hi to him from the yard and he jumps a foot high. I make sure I don’t say a word when he is using any tool that could injure him.
The trick or treat custom began in Scotland when children were sent around collecting for money the church on All Hallows Eve, the Christian holiday that supplanted the Celtic New Year. Children were given sweets for doing their duty for the church. The custom got conflated with other non-Christian holidays, and traditions evolved. The word Halloween is actually the contracted phrase “hallow e’en” pushed into one word. All this gets confused with the pre-Christian belief that the dead can revisit the living on Samhain. This was a celebration, welcoming loved ones back for the night. Anything that non-Christian got labeled as Satanic, especially since the Christian church had the new year as April 1st, until the advent of the modern calendar year.America didn’t adopt that calendar until much later, which is where April Fool’s Day comes from.

Only five more days until Halloween, so deal with until it passes.

They should never watch “American Horror Story” especially poor Adam who should be shut away during Halloween.
