Oooh, that smarts.

I think I’m fairly intelligent, but I refuse to engage in a battle of wits with an inanimate object.

I’m a computer consultant. I HATE to be defeated by a mere machine! It’s what keeps me plugging away until I figure out what is wrong with it.

There was a software company that required people to give up their souls in their legal thing. Most people didn’t read it.

I read about a guy that read one of those and at the bottom, it had agreed to pay the reader I forget how many thousands, but he was apparently the only one to read it through, and received his monies from the app company.

In “Good Omens” the demon Crowley is so impressed by a typical computer program legal contract that he sends it Down with a note: “Read and learn, guys.”

I never read those dopey things either. Who has time to read them when they all say the same thing?

That’s the whole point of a smart phone. So it can be smart when you can’t.
