We are very lucky that our house is designed in such a way that sound doesn’t travel well from end to end

    .

My step-daughter is nearly deaf and sometimes she turns up the radio in her room way too loud

    .

Can’t hear it at all on the other end of the house, barely hear it in the living room, and thankfully it isn’t too loud from outside

I wonder if his mother will come to our neighborhood and show the clowns with the deep bass that shakes our home. Then again – buying stock in hearing aids is a good investment since these clowns will be deaf by 30

This cartoon came from a conversation with a teenager. I don’t think he actually meant to say that there was no reason he knew of for the ‘down’ volume control, but… that’s what he said.

Back when my hair was still brunette, I had a kid once pull up to the gas pump next to mine with his windows pulsing. As he got out of his car, I laughed, pulled my hearing aids out of my ears and grinned, Careful, you end up with these. Darn if he didn’t reach into his car and turn the sound WAY down.

Did he also know that there is a “Mute” button?

People really do need to learn to lower the volume on their radios, TVs, etc. I’m surprised more young people don’t need hearing aids.
