I would say that the acorn doesn’t fall far from the tree, but we’re evergreens. We don’t have acorns.

Those of us who remember Zork instantly know that these aren’t “Tree People”—they’re terrifying Christmas-Tree Monsters! Quick! Has anybody got a caterpillar?

It cannot be, Mother is deciduous!

I used to tease my younger sister and tell her she was adopted. Then when she was 18 we found out my mother had been celebrating her birthday on the wrong day. I felt kind of bad. Her astrological sign changed.
