Opus, sadly, is the best kind of smart: just smart enough to know that he’s not all that bright. Which is far more than you can say for anyone in the running this year.

Hmm… I’m with Opus in this one.

Furthermore, Opus would never join any club that would have him for a member.

But Opus, Bill is running for pres. You are the VP candidate. The veep does not get to name anything. Not even the presidential pet.

Not this year, SkyFisher. Opus got top of the ticket. Bill got three tries (84, 88, & 92).

Someone should break it to Opus that the President doesn’t “name” Justices, he nominates them – the Senate decides.

Vote for the Jurist who supports the “Living” Constitution – meaning the Court can edit the thing to take away your pesky Rights if they don’t mesh with the Government’s “plans”. Ask Sotomayor, she’ll explain it.

Funny, I was thinking the same thing.

If i recall my history correctly, at one time, the runner-up in the vote was the Veep….Hence you had Federalist John Adams and Republican VP Tom Jefferson…..

The Founding Fathers made the US a republic for a reason. While in many instances, majority vote rules, they set things up so the rights of unpopular minorities could not be done away by popular vote. The also knew that certain areas could easily outweigh the rest of the country vote wise, hence the Electoral College was installed so the small states wouldn’t be run over by a few big ones

Sponge Bob would be better than anyone Hillary names.

Compared to Spongebob, Opus is a genius. Therefore, he wouldn’t consider Spongebob for the Supreme Court seat.
