Some dogs chase mice. A dachshund I had once caught and killed a hamster I had, and no doubt would have done the same for a mouse.
Notice how the trim follows nicely into the mouse hole. Excellent attention to detail for a rodent.
If it moves, my dog will chase it. There is a resident lizard in the back yard that drives her nuts.
