Wow, they don’t build monsters well these days. Shattered, not just inside but out!

Sometimes I repeat myself. Sometimes I repeat myself. Sometimes I repeat myself.

(If gir63 deletes two of the three identical comments, you’ll never understand what I’m talking about.)

That’s all right, Lew. I doubt it would help if I used shorter words.

As for the cartoon, I kind of hate the dehumanization of the player who wears the helmet, in reality and in the toon. They aren’t monsters and, despite the steroids and HGH, aren’t so much a product of science as of hard work on their part and the demands of media and fans for “super” players. Many of the greats have died in quiet agony from the physical toll taken by playing for a living. Earl Campbell can’t even get around without crutches, they say, these days

I know it’s a funny bit, but that toll keeps a place in the back of my mind since I played (not well) and loved the game.

gir63 probably had a web or computer glitch. It happens all the time on Comics.com.

Left knee or right knee, what’s the difference? As long as it’s not a weenie.

Feeholder1: For the record, in May I had a total knee joint replacement that was a result of an ACL injury in football. (My other knee - ACL, basketball - is on the same path.) It hurt like hell, but no cadaver parts, thank God! That’s the inspiration for the cartoon idea. Basically just laughing in the face of Death.
