I like how Petey’s food is widely separated.

Love, love, love extended family dinners with everyone’s little quirks that we only have to put up with one or two times a year, so they are still endearing and not just crazy.

I like beets – not sure about a beet casserole.

The beet casserole keeps it’s maroonity (maroonness?) when it leaves you as well. Don’t panic, it’s just the beets.

I remember Grandma’s dining room table. Where did they put all that stuff anyway?

If I didn’t talk to myself, no one would speak to me. At least that seems to be the nature of Otterloop family “conversation” at Grandma’s big dining room table.

(And I’m having beets tonight, maroon or not….)
